Technical Background

Prior to 1992
IBM 370 Mainframe Assembly Language programmer (ALC). Worked on Bill of Material Manufacturing systems.

Designed and developed Configuration Management systems using as-designed and as-built product structures for the Mars Viking Lander.

Designed, Developed, an international order entry system programmed in Cobol using HP3000 computers. Implemented system in 13 different countries. The systems was in operation for more than 20 years.

Chief Architect and developer for Beckman’s CARES system that processed all north American orders for this Fortune 400 company. The system was in operation for more than 25 years.

1993 – 1995
Implemented Windows based Client-Server capability at Beckman. Founded DBA organization and advanced developer organization. Implemented PowerBuilder / Oracle based capability.

1995 - 2001
Switched development to Object Pascal (Delphi). Developed several large client-server systems using Delphi / Oracle.

Director of Database Administration (DBA) at AOL Time Warner and supported Nine different brands of Databases.

2002 - 2005
Began use of the Microsoft .Net framework using the Framework 1.0 and 1.1 using Visual Studio, VB.Net, C#, Crystal Reports and SQL Server. I developed mainly ASP.Net applications and .Net components to support those applications. Became a Microsoft Certified Professional in February 2005 by passing MCAD test 70-305 – ASP.Net.

2006 – 2008
Migrated to .Net FrameWork 2.0 and then to 3.5. Developed major systems for two Orange County Companies. Did advanced technology research for an internet startup.

Current Skills:
Adept at all forms of .Net development using C# including Silverlight, Windows Phone 7, ASP.Net websites, AJAX, Web Services, Windows Forms, Web Service Clients, .Net controls and components, WCF Services and Clients, and Relational Databases.
